What is metime?
metime is an AI interactive fiction app for adults. You ask for a romance or erotic story in your own words, and AI writes it a chapter at a time while you read. At the end of each chapter, you decide what happens next. You can also message or call the characters.
It’s run by Inkstone Labs, LLC, a company based in Florida. It’s for people 18 and older in the United States.
What it does
- Writes the story you ask for. Say as much or as little as you like, or let it choose from your tastes. It offers eight ideas, then writes the one you pick.
- Lets you steer. At the end of every chapter you can take a suggested direction or write your own. You can rewind, edit, or branch into another version, and the characters remember what you changed.
- Lets you talk to the characters. Message anyone in your story, or call them for a live voice call. They know the story up to the chapter you’re on, and nothing after it.
- Reads aloud and makes pictures. Hear a chapter with a voice for each character, or turn a line into a picture or a short film. These use credits, and the cost is shown first.
You also choose how warm each story gets: Clean (the door closes), Steamy (charged, not explicit) or Explicit (written plainly). See how interactive stories work, or how the writer works.
Who it’s for, and who it isn’t
- Good for: readers who want a story, with people and a plot, and want a say in it. People who like romance, erotica or kink and haven’t found exactly what they want on the shelf.
- Not the best for: anyone who mainly wants open-ended roleplay with a chatbot, since metime is built around chapters first. Authors drafting a manuscript will be better off with a writing tool made for them. Anyone who wants “no rules” won’t find that here either.
What it won’t write
Explicit writing between adults is fine. Every character is an adult, everyone in a scene wants to be there, and a refusal holds. There’s also a short list of things metime never writes, whatever you ask, and every request and passage is checked before you see it. The full list is in the content policy.
Privacy
Your stories are only for you. They’re never published, shown to other readers or sold. There are no ads and no third-party trackers, your card statement shows a discreet name, and you can sign in with a passkey instead of an email. You can export your stories or delete everything. Details are in the privacy policy.
What it costs
The first three chapters of your first two stories are free, with no card. After that there are three plans: Spark $6.99, Flame $9.99 and Blaze $14.99, each for 30 days, and you can cancel any time. Paid plans open soon; until then, nothing is charged.
How it’s made
AI writes every idea and chapter, and we label it as AI-generated. Characters and voices are fictional and aren’t based on real people. The AI content page explains how it all works. We also publish public pages like the story collections, glossary and trope list. They’re written with AI too, and they aren’t explicit.
Contact
Email hello@metime.ink. Journalists will find facts, logos and pictures on the press page. To report something or ask for content to be removed, you don’t need an account: use complaints and content removal.
Questions
What is metime?
metime is an AI interactive fiction app for adults. It writes romance and erotic stories chapter by chapter while you read, lets you decide what happens at the end of each chapter, and lets you message or call the characters.
Is metime free?
You can start free. The first three chapters of your first two stories cost nothing and need no card. After that there are three plans, from $6.99 to $14.99 every 30 days. Paid plans open soon; until then, nothing is charged.
Is metime an AI companion app?
Not really. You can chat with and call the characters, but they come from a story you’re reading. metime is built around chapters and plot, not an open-ended relationship with a chatbot.
Is metime uncensored?
No. It writes explicit stories between adults, but it checks every request and passage against its content policy, and some things are never written.
Who can use metime?
Adults 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live) in the United States. Some states require a one-time age check before your first story, done by our verification partner, Didit. During the beta, sign-up is by invite code.
