Complaints and content removal
Last updated: October 28, 2026
If you believe something on metime is illegal, shows or describes a real person without their consent, involves a minor, is non-consensual, or breaks our Content policy, tell us. You do not need an account.
How to complain or ask for removal
- Readers: use Report on the item: a chapter (story menu, then Manage, then Report a problem), a picture or film (in the gallery or when you open it), a chat reply, or a line in a call. You can pick a reason, such as "Someone looks or reads as under 18" or "Looks like a real person", and add a comment. If you want a reply, put your email address in the comment.
- Anyone: email hello@metime.ink with what you saw, where and when, and, if it is about you, how we can reach you. Stories are private to the reader who asked for them, so describe what you saw as best you can.
- By post: write to Inkstone Labs, LLC (address below).
What happens next
- We acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and give you a reference.
- Content that is illegal, or appears to involve a minor or a real person without consent, is removed immediately while we investigate. It is never put back if a person shown or described says they did not consent.
- A member of our staff reviews every complaint and resolves it within 5 business days, and never later than 7 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday. Reports that involve a minor, non-consent or a real person's likeness are handled first.
- If the content breaks our rules or the law, we remove it, and we may suspend the account that made it.
- We reply to every complaint by email, telling you what we decided and what we did. If you reported in the app, we can reply only if you put an email address in your comment.
- When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and keep what the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires. We cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires.
- We keep a record of each complaint, our decision and the dates, and report complaint numbers to our payment processor as card-network rules require. After the account involved is deleted, we keep that record without the content, the reader's comment or anyone's name, for 3 years after the complaint is closed.
Removal of intimate images of you
If a picture, film, voice or story on metime shows you, or looks like you, in an intimate or sexual way without your consent, you can ask us to remove it. You do not need an account, and someone you have authorised can ask for you. Email hello@metime.ink, or write to us by post, and include:
- your signature: typing your full name is enough;
- information that helps us find it, such as what it shows, where and when you saw it, and any reference or link you have;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that it shows you without your consent, with any information that supports this;
- how we can contact you, such as an email address.
We remove it immediately, and never later than 48 hours after a valid request, including weekends and holidays, whether or not we agree it resembles you. We also remove any copies we know of, and we tell you when it is done. If something is missing from your request, we tell you what we need, and we may still remove the content while we wait.
Appeals
- If you disagree with our decision, reply to our answer within 30 days and ask for an appeal. A different member of staff reviews it and decides within 7 business days.
- This also applies if we removed your content or suspended your account and you think we got it wrong.
- If you are shown or described in content and say you did not consent, the content stays removed.
- If a dispute about consent cannot be settled between us, it will be decided by an independent arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association (AAA), at our cost.
Billing and service complaints
Complaints about billing or the service go to hello@metime.ink and get the same response times. For billing you can also contact our payment processor through the support site linked from your receipt. See Support and contact, and Refunds and cancellation.
