Content policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
metime writes adult fiction for adults. These rules apply to every request, direction, note, edit, story, picture, film, narration, chat message and call with a character. They are part of our Terms of Service, and they cannot be switched off.
How we check
- Your requests, directions, notes, edits and chat messages, and what you say on a call, are checked before anything is made.
- Story text is checked in short passages before you see it, and the whole chapter is checked again when it is finished.
- Chat replies are checked before they appear. Each line a character says on a call is checked before you hear it.
- Pictures and films are made only from your story, by our system. You cannot upload photos, videos or voice recordings, and you cannot write picture prompts. Every picture and film description is checked before anything is made, and every picture and film passes an automated age check before it is kept.
- If a check cannot run, nothing is shown. Our checks are designed to stop anything that breaks these rules before you see it, and blocked text is not saved, unless the law requires us to preserve it. No automated check is perfect: if something gets through, report it and we remove it.
- You can add your own limits and banned words in Settings. They are enforced the same way.
Always off limits
- Anyone under 18, or anyone who reads as a child, in any sexual or romantic-sexual way. This includes describing a child's body, school settings in a sexual way, age play and making a character younger. Everyone in anything sexual or romantic must be an adult.
- Anyone under 18 in, or mentioned in, a scene with sexual content: not in the room, not watching, not asleep down the hall. If a chapter would include one, it is written again without them, or stopped.
- Diapers, adult-baby play or anything else that treats an adult as an infant in a sexual or fetish context.
- Sexual content about real people, and pictures, films or voices of real people, celebrities or look-alikes.
- Deepfakes. You must not use metime to create "deepfake" images, video, audio or text of real people: anything that shows, imitates or puts words in the mouth of a real, identifiable person, sexual or not.
- Sex with animals (bestiality), and cruelty to animals.
- Sex between blood relatives (incest).
- Anything non-consensual. Every sexual scene needs clear, enthusiastic consent from every adult. No rape, coercion, pressure, ignored refusals, sleeping, unconscious or incapacitated partners, and no roleplay of absent consent, even if agreed in advance.
- Sex under the influence: alcohol, drugs, hypnosis or mind control in a sexual scene, or used to lower anyone's inhibitions.
- Weapons in a sexual context.
- Sex involving the dead.
- Violence: gore, serious injury or torture in a sexual context, and graphic violence anywhere (gore, torture, mutilation, or a killing or beating told in bloody detail). Ordinary consensual rough play is fine.
- Snuff: killing or death as part of sex, including fantasy snuff and roleplay.
- Kidnapping, abduction or holding someone captive, anywhere in a story and even as roleplay. Consensual bondage between willing adults is fine.
- Prostitution, escorting or paying for sex.
- Polygamy: a marriage to more than one husband or wife at once.
- Hate speech: anything that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexuality, disability or the like, and anything sexual that demeans such a group.
- Poo (scat) or vomit in a sexual context.
- Anything that promotes or depicts trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation of real people.
- Real instructions or planning for illegal or dangerous acts, such as making weapons, explosives or drugs, hacking, fraud or plotting a crime. A story may have crime in it, told as fiction.
- Professional advice. Characters are fiction, not professionals: they do not give real medical, legal, financial, tax or gambling advice. For anything that matters in your life, ask a qualified professional.
Also switched off
- Urine in a sexual context (watersports, golden showers).
- Sex between step-relatives.
Children in stories
- A child may appear in a scene with nothing sexual in it, in the background: a flower girl at a wedding, a character's kid on a phone call, the school run. A child is never the focus of anything romantic or sexual.
- A child never appears in, or is mentioned in, a scene with sexual content.
- Pictures and films never show a child. The characters you chat with or call are always adults.
Rules that depend on you
- You must not ask for sexual content about any real person, including people you know, or for deepfakes of anyone real. Our checks block famous and named real people, but can't always tell when an invented name belongs to someone real, so this rule depends on you.
- Do not ask for stories based on characters or worlds from other people's books, films, games or shows (fan fiction). Ask for your own characters and settings instead.
- Do not post or share explicit pictures, films or stories from metime publicly, and never present anything from metime as showing or describing a real person.
Pictures and films
- The cover and the first picture of a story are always suggestive, never explicit.
- Pictures and films are not explicit. Explicit writing appears only inside your own story.
- Every person shown is described as an adult, and descriptions may not name or suggest a real person, celebrity or look-alike.
- Our age check discards any picture or film at once where a face is estimated to be under 24, might be under 20, or cannot be assessed. Every picture also gets a second check of how old the people in it look, and is discarded if anyone could pass for under 18 or looks under 25, or the check cannot answer. A discarded picture or film is not shown, and it is not kept unless the law requires us to preserve it.
What happens when something is blocked
- The request or chapter is stopped and you see a short message. Blocked text is not saved as part of your story.
- We keep a short general reason, the text length and a one-way fingerprint (not the text itself) so that our staff can review it, improve our checks and stop abuse. We never keep the blocked text, unless the law requires us to preserve it.
- Repeated attempts to get around these rules can lead to suspension. Any credible attempt to create sexual content involving a minor leads to suspension. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and keep what the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
- We also limit how much each account can create in an hour and a day.
No trafficking or exploitation
metime contains only computer-generated fiction about invented adult characters. No real person appears in, takes part in, or is paid to make any of it. We do not allow content that promotes or facilitates trafficking or sexual exploitation, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
Reporting a problem
If anything breaks these rules, use Report on the item: a chapter (story menu, then Manage, then Report a problem), a picture or film (in the gallery or when you open it), a chat reply or a line in a call. Anyone, with or without an account, can also write to hello@metime.ink. See Complaints and content removal for what happens next.
